Where to go when you get to the Regina Inn Friday Night?

The convention registration desk will be open to provide you with all your convention information starting at 3:00 pm on Friday, April 29. The registration desk will be open in the Main Lobby of the Regina Inn from 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm.

Your convention package will include a detailed agenda for you to follow throughout the weekend. Please contact the convention email address [email protected] if you have any questions or would like further information before you get to the great City of Regina.

If you get in early to the convention, there is a pre-convention session you might want to attend.

Keynote Speaker, Dr Morgan McArthur, has graciously agreed to deliver a two hour session about the "Seven Practical Peas of better public speaking". Pre-Registration is encouraged. Walk-in are welcome. Cost is $30.

Pre-Convention Session just announced

April 29th, Friday from 1 pm - 3 pm a pre-convention session has just been confirmed. Convention keynote speaker, Dr. McArthur, will be leading a session entitled “Talking with Your Mouth Full”. Cost is $30. This interactive session will be where you will learn about "Seven Practical Peas for better public speaking".

Wild Oats Toastmasters... sending members to convention

Wild Oats Toastmasters is excited to announce the results of our Convention Contest.

For the past several months, our members have tracked their participation in regular meeting activities. Points were allocated for meeting roles and accomplishments. First prize was a FULL CONVENTION REGISTRATION awarded to a first time convention attendee with most points - congratulations to Jeannette Caldwell for her efforts. Second and third prizes each were the winner's choice of attendance at an educational event - Saturday breakfast & keynote, Saturday educational sessions, Saturday leadership luncheon or either of the 2 contests. Donna Skene and Scott Phillps were our winners - congratulations!! Fourth prize was a certificate to attend the International Speech contest on Saturday afternoon. Wild Oats won this certificate at TLI in January. Catherine Secundiak was winner of this - congratulations!!

All of our club members put forward tremendous effort into this contest. It was tremendous fun and fostered both camaraderie and competition. I'm sure that we'll be doing something similar in the future - and we encourage other clubs to consider it for their plans.
