Boy did we ever Catch the Wave this weekend! We had a lot of fun, caught up with old friends and made some new ones.
The speech contests were great. Congratulations to all contestants who participated in the contests. Judges sure had a hard task of determining winners.
Evaluation Speech Contest top three were:
1st place - Kelly Kaur
2nd place - Peter Temple
3rd place - Chuck Rose
International Speech Contest top three were:
1st place - Kevin Mark
2nd place - Chuck Rose
3rd place - Valerie Lee
Kevin Mark will be representing District 42 in the International Speech Contest this summer in Las Vegas. Good Luck in Las Vegas, Kevin!
Thank you to the committee for the time that you put into planning and preparing for this convention. We had a great time working on this project together and it was all worth it!
We also appreciate everyone who volunteered to help out in some way. Greeters, registration desk workers, ballot counters, education session presenters, Toastmasters, Sergeants at Arms, anyone who helped in any way – Than You. The whole event was a success because of you.
Now we can all take some time to relax, reflect, and refocus. Enjoy your summer and we hope to see you all at the fall conference in Lethbridge. Over to you Bev and your team!
